The Driver - Fleet Management is responsible for driving and maintaining company’s fleet to facilitate mobility of staff, materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Transport
Regularly drives safely company’s vehicles on official business to facilitate business operations.
Logbook
Update timely and accurately motor vehicle logbook in order to enhance accountability for official trips and fuel usage.
Weekly inspection of logbooks for all pool vehicles to enhance compliance and accountability by users.
Vehicle Inspection
Regularly inspect all vehicles in order to ascertain their road worthiness and care by users.
Vehicle cleanliness
Undertake regular cleaning of pool vehicles in order to maintain corporate image of INFRATEL.
Reports
Weekly submit reports on fleet status and fuel utilization
Prepare timely accidents reports in order to facilitate decision making.
Vehicle Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance procedures such as oil change, lubricating engine parts and thorough inspection of all pool vehicles before and after service.
Conduct first level maintenance/repair works on fleet where need arises.
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues.
Able to estimate costs of vehicle repairs.
Fleet Management
Overseeing and coordinating a company's vehicle fleet toimprove efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Craft Certificate in any relevant field
Valid SADC driver’s license class C.
Key Competencies and Skills
He /she should have basic mechanical knowledge
Fleet management experience
Knowledge in road safety rules
Understanding of the highway code
Ability to collaborate and with teams
Good oral and written communication skills
Good defensive driving skills
Logical thinking and problem solving
Highly proven ethical conduct and free from criminal record
Courteous and Ability to work in high pressure environment
